Mark Oakley
Mark Oakley grew up in McKenzie, Tennessee and started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. Upon graduating high school, Mark moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the music program at Musician's Institute. After completing his education, he continued to reside in the Los Angeles area playing guitar and writing music. While in LA, Mark landed his first major gig with Dann Huff's band "Giant." The band toured extensively for the next three years and eventually all of the members including Mark moved to Nashville.
In the years to follow, Mark made numerous television appearances and toured the U.S. and abroad. He has worked with artists such as Faith Hill, Amy Grant, Dolly Parton, Michael McDonald, Vince Gill, Michael W. Smith, and Martina McBride. He has also been the music director for many artists such as Carrie Underwood, Leann Rimes, Gretchen Wilson and Jewel.
As a songwriter, Mark earned a #1 song by composing "Turn On The Radio” released by Reba McEntire.
