Jay Allen discovered his love of music as a child in church, where he gave his first public performance at eight years old. With roots planted deep in a small farm community, he experienced first-hand the lifestyle ingrained in country music. He adopted a tireless work ethic, helping out on a farm both before and after school. “It taught me a lot and gave me a foundation,” he remembers. “You have to work harder than the next person. Work ethic is everything to me, and I’m a perfectionist to the core.”

Growing up Allen was influenced by all kinds of music, but his love of country music was solidified when a life-changing move took him south to Savannah, Georgia. “Being in the southern culture woke me up,” he says. “It was a finding-myself moment. Singing about real-life stories and things that are relatable, that’s when my real voice came out.”

Since moving to Nashville, Allen’s unstoppable mix of vocal chops, songwriting skills, and determination have helped him blaze a trail as one of the most exciting new artists in country music today.
